About
Our machine produces pure water by passing the water through a special reverse osmosis membrane to extract the minerals within the water, (It is these minerals that leave a residue on the glass). The water is then stored in a tank on board our mobile system; when on site it is passed through a hose up through the pole and out of holes in the brush head onto the glass. A control on our system allows us to control the amount of water passed through the pole thus saving water.
It is the combination of friction from the bristles and the strength of the now pure (deposit free) water, which does the work. The brush is then held a few inches away from the glass and the window rinsed from top to bottom, leaving to dry naturally to a Crystal clear finish.
Advantages of using a water fed pole system
- Safer- The high reach poles mean we spend less time on ladders, thus complying with new health and safety regulations.
- Efficiency - The finished result, using pure water is perfectly crystal clean, smear free glass.
- Enables us to reach previously inaccessible windows, (cleaning the top of conservatories safely as an example).
- Cleaning - commercial premises signage, canopies, fascias and cladding can be done with ease.
- Does not cause damage to the garden or buildings.
- Reduces disturbance and protects privacy of the building occupants.
- Cleans the frames and sills at the same time.
- No need for any chemicals or detergents.
- Environmentally friendly using only pure water.
A few Question & answers
What is a Water Fed Pole?
Water fed poles are simply connected to our pure water machine via a hose, a brush head is attached to the end of the pole. The pole is telescopic and extended to the appropriate height; water is then switched on and the correct technique used to gently agitate the dirt from the window, allowing the bristles and pure water to do all the work. After this we simply rinse, by drawing the brush head a few inches from the glass and letting the pure water wash away any debris.
Why do windows cleaned with WFP’s stay cleaner for longer?
Because we use a constant stream of pure water, unlike tradional cleaning technicies which resue water. We do not use detergents either, so the glass surface is completely free of residue which can capture dirt, therefore lasting longer.
Why don't you use normal tap water?
Domestic tap water although it looks pure, contains lots of dissolved chemicals such as calcium, magnesium and fluoride. When the water dries on a window, it leaves powdery deposits of these on the glass (appearing as white streaks and spots). Pure water has these chemicals removed, leaving a crystal clear finish.
How efficient is the WFP process? Will it clean off Bird mess?
The cleaning power of the water itself, along with the abrasiveness of the brush heads, removes most every day deposits like, snail & caterpillar trails, putty marks, finger prints and bird mess.
